Throughout her career, she posed for 173 covers, participated in 13 photoshoots, and filmed 160 videos before retiring in 1989.

Haven was renowned for her beauty, described by porn historian and director Bill Margold as the first major beauty to make adult films. Her appearance evoked mainstream film stars, bringing a more polished appeal to the genre compared to the New York actresses of the time. Some of her most notable credits include adult film classics such as "Barbara Broadcast," "'V': The Hot One," and "A Thousand and One Erotic Nights." These films featured more elaborate plots and required a higher level of acting.

Raised in a Mormon family, Haven stated that part of her motivation for entering the porn industry was to prove that "sex is not a sin" and that it can be pleasurable. After her marriage broke up, she moved to San Francisco, which at the time was the capital of the Golden Age of Porn on the West Coast.
